Introducing Evie

She's finally here! I'm sure Sarah was doubting if she was ever going to make her appearance. But she's here now and has a name, I think. Last night Sarah and I decided to name her Evelyn Grace. Hopefully that doesn't change before she comes home. (The girls aren't fond of the name.) Evie was born at 8:01pm last night and weighs in at 6 pounds 6 ounces and is 19-1/2 inches long. She is healthy and was born with a full head of dark hair and a good set of lungs. We don't know where the dark hair came from. I almost missed the event since I left for a burger for twenty minutes since not much was happening. I got back to the room with my food and had to put it aside for awhile since things were ready to go. In fact, it happened so quickly that the doctor almost missed it.
After the whole ordeal, I went home and got Sydney out of bed to go see her baby sister. Tara was sound asleep and showed no signs a waking so she stayed home with Grandma, who is very anxious to see the baby so I'd better end for now and take them to the hospital. More to follow...

Sarah, you look great after 10 hours of labor. I'm so happy it was a little easier this time.
