On rare occasions I actually FINISH a quilt. This is such an occasion! I know I posted some pictures of the top several months ago, but I finally decided to get it back out of the basket and finish it.
As you may be able to tell from the photos, I machine quilted "in the ditch" and it really made the pattern pop. As for the back of the quilt--I didn't have enough fabric left to make a solid backing, so I pieced together strips of orange and white on the diagnal. I love how it turned out.
I got this pattern out of the Feb 2009 Better Homes and Garden's Quilting magazine. I changed the pattern to suit my style. You can see the orignal pattern at

This is now my favorite quilt, and I am so happy it turned out! It makes me want to finish quilts more often!
btw...I don't even have a bed to put it on. :) Oh well, it will look very pretty folded up on the shelf!
