A windy Sunday walk

A family walk (hike) on a very windy Sunday afternoon. Four Dances natural area (again).

#1: The classic 'Evie and Russ' shot. Everyone: "Ahhhhh, so cute!"
#2: Love the shot of my peeps + the gorgeous background speaks to me, sings to me, makes me happy. **sigh**

#3: Russ and Sydney catching up. Note the dark clouds that seem to follow me around everywhere. Yes, we did get dumped on, but rain doesn't scare our clan.

#4: Sydney climbing over trees near the river. Why go around if you can climb over?

#5: Russ chose to go around said tree.
#6: Evie simply having a spectacular time chillin' in the backpack.

#7: Sydney and Tara not trying to push each other off the tree for .2 seconds so I could take a picture.

#8: Tara volunteered to carry Evie. That didn't last very long, but it was extraordinarily entertaining to observe.

#9: Somehow Dad's shoulders are better than the backpack.

And for a little "live action" here is Evie chatting it up, and Tara introducing me to Porky the pinecone. Never a dull moment. And for the record, Porky got to stay with his family in the woods.

We decided that Evie needed to actually hike a little. Well, you can see how well that worked out. She was more interested in eating the rocks.
