Evie's Fishies

This is the quilt I had planned on making for Evie before she was born. I got busy with other projects and quilts and this one had to wait for a little while. I appliqued the fish and bubbles using some new techniqes, so it was fun and a "learning experience" for me. Some day I will get this all figured out!
Evie LOVES watching Russ' fish, and she seems quite thrilled with her new quilt. She will stare at her "fishies" for a remarkable amount of time!
I've been trying to improve my free-motion machine quilting skills, and this was just the project for it. I really enjoyed creating water, waves, and bubbles in the quilting design. If you look closely you'll even see little swirls.
The BEST part--My sweet baby sleeping! Tara picked out Evie's pj's. Most of you know Tara has a little bit of a monkey fettish. :)
One more done...so many left to make!

The quilt is so cute! And Evie is a thumb-sucker. What a sweet baby.

Bring this to quilt night -- it is adorable! I want to check out the quilting closer! You should put your Sweet and Sour Meatball recipe on the West Park Gals Recipes blog. See you tomorrow night. Anna
