Last night we decided we we're going to take the kids to the the Y for some swimming. When I got home from work, I was exhausted and Evie was napping so Sarah decided to take Sydney and Tara by herself. Evie woke up as Sarah and the older girls where leaving. After I finished what I was doing, I searched the house looking for Evie. She was nowhere to be found. I finally found her upstairs in her bedroom with a swimsuit stretched around her, backwards with both shoulder straps on one shoulder. "I wanna go swimming!" she yelled. She didn't relent so I figured we'd better meet up with the rest of the family at the pool. All three had a blast and Sydney finally found the courage to let go of the walls of the pool and try swimming. She picked it up pretty quick. Evie loved it, despite clinging to Sarah and me with a death grip. She held on so tight that I felt like she was an accessory (or a parasitic growth). The girls had so much fun that we could't get them to leave. We said until after 9pm and, since we hadn't eaten yet, decided to run out for pizza for a quick dinner. Our evening wasn't anything too exciting but the girls sure had a fun time. Evie has been bugging us all day to go swimming again.
